Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you." Luke 6:38 |
We surely count it a priviledge to have a part in providing God's word to those who do not have it in their own language. We praise the Lord for our faithful supporters who have had a vital part in our ministry through prayer and giving to enable us to carry on the work that he has given us. Several people have asked us regarding what needs we might have. To those that sense the Lord's leading to help us, we have three needs at present. 1) Regular monthly support - Shortly after we came back to the States to help Wesley and Ashley we lost a third of our financial support. We have gained much of that back but are still $700 per month short of our recommended amount. All contributions are tax deductible. 100% of what is given goes to our ministry. For information on how to set up monthly automated donations, click on the link below. 2) Four Wheel Drive Truck- Our old truck has finally gotten to the point where it is not worth putting more time and finances into keeping it going. A four wheel drive truck enables us to do outreach to various Kaul villages and to make needed trips to visit the Loko churches providing spiritual encouragement and much needed medical supplies. Also, we are often times called upon to carry tribal people out to a medical clinic in life and death situations. We need something that is very dependable. We estimate that a good used truck will cost us approximately $10,000. Any one time gifts toward this need will be greatly appreciated. 3) Generator - A generator allows us to have power in the tribe so that we can run lights, computers, printers, a refrigerator, etc. Thank you so much to those those of you who contributed to having our main generator fixed. We are presently trying to get our small back-up generator fixed. Praise! We now have our backup generator fixed as well. 4) Satalite Phone - Shortly after returning to the field our satallite phone went bad. The manufacturer said is was not repairable. Praise! Through loving friends this need has been met as well. |
